Brief Movie Description: A little girl, Regan, begins to change. For the longest time, she was the sweetest, most well mannered child a mother could ever hope for. Then she begins to play around with a Ouija board, and make friends with a spirit she calls Captain Howdy. Her mother believes that Captain Howdy is simply an imaginary friend. However, as the movie progresses, Regan begins to change. She because violent, mean, and foul-mouthed. Since her Mother is a scientific person, she looks towards doctors, and medicine. When they cannot help, she finally turns towards her last resort, the Church. From here on, a priest, Damon, begins to investigate Regan's condition. After a few visits he's convienced that the child is posessed by a demon, or demons. So he turns to the church, and they send in their best Exorcist, Father Merron. Damon, and Father Merron struggle to drive the demons from Regan. It's a vicious battle, but if you want to know if they succeed, you'll have to watch the movie! Dawn gives this movie: 5 out of 5 Stars. Sidenote: If you have not read the book, I suggest you pick it up. It's even better than the movie, in my humble opinion. Also, the young girl who played Regan, began to get hate mail as soon as the movie was released. Not just hate mail, but letters that threatened to kill her.
