Do parents obey their children in America?

The thing that impresses me the most about America is the way parents obey their children. -King Edward VIII (1894 - 1972)- What do you think?

I would hope that children obey their parents and not the other way around, that is how my fam works.

In America, it's different. That is so called 'democracy and liberty' The American should answer it.. Btw, I'm not American..
