Downloading free Stock photos for editting

Hi friends,i am a photoshop beginner and want to be a good designer and photo editor and retoucher but for that i need to practice and for practice i really need some stock images like photos of people and fashion,etc. I searched over internet for long period for free stock images as i would not like to spend much money just for a beginning practice session.. so please if any one of you have any knowledge about such resources or can provide some links to such sites,it would be alot helpful for me... thank u...
