How to choose interests on Mylot?????????

There are no longer any 'Interest' categories as such in MyLot. Everything is governed by the tags you and other people use and that is what decides what you see in the 'Explore: Interesting' listing.
To find topics which interest you, use the Search bar and type in words which describe your interests. This will bring up a list of discussions which are tagged with the words you chose; you may then further select (on the left) discussions which include the words anywhere in the text, even though they may not be tagged with the words.
Once you have found discussions dealing with your interests, look at the responses and comments and the profiles of the people responding and commenting. Choose those who appear to be active (many people abandoned MyLot after May 1st, when it closed the earnings program) and 'follow' them.
To find and connect with new people, post discussions about your interests and see who responds.
