Recently I was informed by my doctors nurse that he was going to put me on insulin if I did not get my blood sugar under control. This was not surprising to me. What did get my attention was when she told me the doctor could tell the state, and they could revoke my license to drive! Naturally I am working on my diet. This is a slow process. Now I am keeping track on a daily basis to try to maintain glucose levels before returning for more tests in a couple of months. One of the points here is not actually about my health issues, but the controlling techniques that they can use. A small town nearby has a ordinance where if you do not keep your grass groomed to their specifications, thay will cut it for you! Along with this comes a fee from fifty to three hundred dollars. They claim to perform these tasks legally whether you like it or not! The kicker that comes with it is that they file a lein where you pay your property taxes. You will pay one way or the other. This is of course a small example of the power that can be used to control the average citizen.
