Link Posting Syndrome

Nothing is more annoying than people who merely place their link all over the place with promises of making all this astronomical money and don't want to do the work for it. It really sucks &^%$%. It completely takes the value out of sites where you can just have a regular conversation about a certain topic. Now, I'm not saying that link posting is all bad, but it is when that's all there is. The right way to link post is to offer some type of valuable information. Make the link posting credible, not just a lousy attempt at getting a sign up. I'm astounded by how many people just want quick money (which doesn't last) as opposed to building something lasting that will pay them time and time again. The only way to have this kind of outcome is the "simmer method" I like to call it. 1). offer something of value 2). engage readers in an interesting topic 3). conversing and getting to know each other 4). discussing way to enhance each others life That's all. Most times, I want to blast people who put links on my posts and tell me I'd be interested in something (most times I'm not). I don't join opportunities. I join people who are on the same mission as me. I only join people I get to know, like, and/or trust...PERIOD!!

Not only all that, but make at least a little effort to get to know the person first!

I totally agree. I checked my blogs comment section last night and found 3 spam posts there waiting for approval. I carefully examined each one and yep...they were spam. I don't mind you posting a link back to your site as long as the comment is of use and brings value to the subject matter and has some kind of substance. "Great post. I agree" with a link to your site doesn't make the cut on my blog!
