I had a Traumatic Brain-Injury (TBI) when I was 14---hit by a car, died for a few minutes, spent a little while in a coma, spent a bigger little while 'curing my paralysis' (and am still kinda workin` on that). & I thought that made me 'the most put-upon person on Earth' or somethin`. Come to find out, I'm small-potatoes compared to a few people around here! One o` my neighbors tells me she's died about a dozen times (with a few TBIs) and was cut up somethin` fierce. The guy that drove me home the other night has a few TBIs, a herniated disc-or-two in his spine, etc. I have a feeling that a LOT of my elders have it FAR WORSE. But they're making it! I shudder to imagine what today's kids (hyper-dependent on healthcare) would look like if life took a turn on them!

Firstly, i applaud you for your attitude and toughness in overcoming the obstacles that were placed in your life, and secondly, you are right, no matter how big problems in our lives may seem, there is probably someone out there who has it worse, and we should remember that if they are out there fighting to fix and overcome their problems, our smaller ones should be no issue!

And we should remember that--unless someone's continuous actions are causing your problems or making them worse--complaining about them STRENGTHENS them (unless of-course you're asking for advice-&/or-sympathy, as I USUALLY am here )
