What is the longest you have know a friend

I was just responding to a comment to a response i made (if you know what i mean) anyway it made me think i have 3 very close friends I have known them for 43 years,37 years and 33 years .We all get along rally well and our husbands are good friends as well .have you got friends like this

I did have a friend who i have known since i was a young child, She is now 26 and i am 24 so we have known each other for around 20 years, i did lose contact for awhile but earlier this year i rang her and we spoke a few times but i didnt bother after awhile she never returned my calls and it was always expected that i call her so i just never did since and i havent heard from her since i invited her to my engagement party and she didnt show up!

that is such a shame but she really isnt the good friend that you thought she was so you are probaly better off without her. It is not a real friendship if you have to work at it. We all have so called friends like that.

Well, I have 2 friends I still keep in touch with that I have known quite a while. My best friend from High school, her and I still talk from time to time, and it has been over 27 yrs. now, and then I still talk with one of my Ex-fiance's who I have known for over 21 yrs. now as well.

I have a girlfriend I have known for many years as we went to school together and others I have worked with for some years, it is good when you keep your long time friends....

Yes wei dont know what i would do without them .I have moved from Melb. to Qld but we still talk at least once a week and they visit ,if i go to melb to see my geandchildren we catch up .really i feel as though they are just around the corner though we cant go shopping or things together

You are very lucky to have such friends. I dont have friends as such. I have friends for the time being only. That is I had school friends but dont know where they are now. I worked in 4 places before this place and those friends also I dont know where they are. Its really nice to have friends who have been their for a life time.

I have known friends with good intimacy since 27 years. Now he is working in middle east though we are contacting by mail and phone, at weekend I go to his home town to meet with his family members. This is unique relation though we do not depend on each other. We make friendship through a penpal magazine.

The longest standing friend I have is someone I have known for 35 years now, and although we don't see each other as often as we would like, we still manage to talk on the phone every couple of weeks. Interestingly enough, only 2 days ago I received an email from 'friends reunited' as someone I went to school with in the late 1950's wanted to catch up. LOL

i know abt 5 friends right from my LKG.... some i know from my 3rd standard...so the longest in years sums upto 16 years
