Hahaha! I don't think I can speak for all women. But I would like to speak for myself. Honestly speaking, it would really mean a lot for a woman to be with a man who is already established and capable of providing sufficiently (and with some extra savings) to the family. As a woman, I kind of admire men who are capable of providing appropriately not just to their kids but also to their wife, and their old folks. It shows how a responsible and dependable a man is. But nowadays, even women work to earn for a living and more and more are becoming independent in their own ways...

I don't exactly 'disagree' (maybe this is how the world is), but I don't think that's the way it should be. It should be that the woman 'helps' the man become a good provider. Yes, it is easier for the man to BUILD UP the power & then find a woman to share the profits with; but I think it's better if they wed BEFORE anybody has the power, so that they know their love is true. I don't know exactly how it was for Kenneth & Gloria Copeland, but Brother Copeland has mentioned that he & Sister Gloria were living in 'a one-room shack in Tulsa, Oklahoma' when they decided to devote their lives to their Christian Ministry (not exactly sure if it was the Prosperity Gospel message that finally lured them in )
I like Kenneth Copeland Ministries where I'm developing my voice, living my victory and enlarging my ministry each and every day. Visit them now! Click the link above to find out how you can make it your ministry too!

In a perfect world, I think it should be about 70-30 on the man to pick up the tab at dinner. Anything more by way of contribution from the woman is just icing on the cake!

@jd_fun @billcollectorshateme Oh, I'm all-for being 'taken care of by my woman' ... Inspires another discussion (I'll start it here; kind of a tangent, but slightly different from 'women pushing the men to push the money to make the world go round'): Why aren't there so many famous stories of heroines rescuing their 'damesors-in-distress'? (what IS the male word for 'damsel'? what IS a 'damsel' when NOT 'in distress,' a member of a hero's harem?)
