Cataract surgery is not done with lasers. The procedure is called Phacoemulsification and uses an ultrasound probe to emulsify and remove the bad lens after which an intraocular lens implant is fitted to replace your original lens. You are awake for the surgery which is very quick and involves no pain. Your eyeball is numbed and you are usually sedated as well. The most uncomfortable part is the eye drops before surgery which sting a little.
Cataract surgery and correction of presbyopia will serve to remove cataracts and provide you with clearer vision, and it can correct your presbyopia as well.
