It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that Princess Kate and her elegant lace wedding gown has created a domino-effect bridal trend all over the world. Still one year on, designers and fashion houses big and small are taking a page from this royals look-book and translating it into gowns for many a modern bride.
While I was browsing online ogling the endless array of options, I come across an abundance of beautiful wedding dresses at David’s Bridal. From a little lace jacket contrasting a simple gown to a long sleeved masterpiece complete with full skirt and train, there’s something for everyone aspiring to be their own version of a modern-day princess. Try a stately sophisticated piece from the White by Vera Wang collection or a gorgeous Oleg Cassini number dripping in tulle and elegant lace. But if Kate Middleton’s style is truly the look you are after you can even walk the aisle in the dress inspired by the princess herself… A full ball gown in ivory satin finished with long lace sleeves and detailing as demure and lovely as the real thing.
I know I gasped when Kate made her entrance on that dreamy London day. I’m sure with a little princess in all of us just busting to come out, no day is grander than our wedding day to let her steal the limelight.
