Changing window to a door?

About how much would it cost to take out a window and make the space into a door instead?

Depends on the layout really. Is electricity running through the wall below the window, or any kind of wiring or pipe will probably be your biggest concern. Most expensive will be the door depending on what door you are going to use. Prices for good exterior doors range from around $300 - $2000 or more depending on French or decorative door.
