I went to my grand's place for a month and when back to my place was in a real messed up situation. I cleaned the rooms, vacuumed, arranged everything, but still feel unclean, there is an awkward smell. How can I really get feel clean rooms?

Ha..ha.. I guess I understand the situation. I am not a clean freak but at times even I don't get that clean feel after my maid just finished cleaning my room. Air freshener, at times too much and adds to the smell. I've recently read an article on natural scents and after that I ask my maid to use some fresh pine and bay leaves to fresh up my room. If the only thing that remains is the awkward smell, maybe try to track down where it might be coming from, just in case it's something that needs fixing, such as a leak that's causing trapped moisture and the resulting smell (is it a mildewy smell, because that could be a moisture problem). Meanwhile, I find a certain air-freshener called Febreze very beneficial as it actually eliminates the odors rather than just masking them like traditional air-fresheners do. Hope this helps!
