Planning a wedding

My friend is running here and there for planning her brothers wedding. Her parents don't want to call wedding planners so the entire responsibility is on her now. I have never planned a wedding myself so I have no idea how to help her. Can anyone who has planned a wedding or something share their experience?

Well,it's huge work,I hate this kind of formality,I like simple, that's why I choose not to plan a wedding when I get married, luckly,my wife has the same idea with me.

Well its best to first make a list of events, quantity, items n other related things...n one by one as per the events n priorities things should be taken up...Like i belong to India n here wedding is not a one day business..it is a at-least a week`s affair..n planning takes a front seat 2-3 months before...but inception starts with events...n so a checklist n baby steps...n yah its always a first time..n who knows its her time to prove to all that she is one of the best wedding planner...gudluck")
