believe in yourself for what? i agree that self-confidence is the key of many doors in life, but on the other hand too much self-confidence can put a person in ridiculous situations. as jack sparrow says, there are things what a man can and can not do! this is the only rule.

How true ! and if not the world right away at least showing those around you that you care for, maybe even love, that you believe in you chances are they find it much easier to do the same, unless they are really stubborn . . . you know hard-headed !

that is so true. if you show the world the best of you always in every way then the world can only treat you as such. you can't expect to be treated better then you treat yourself. the world doesn't work that way

Of course, this is a very basic principle in life. I could not expect to believe in a person if that person never believes in him/heself. It is imperative then to have faith in oneself's ability to take challenges, to surmount many problems, to be a better person, make this world a better place. Everything revolves with accepting oneself's strenght and weaknesses and to make those factors to work for one's advantage under certain circumstances. Faith in oneself could lead for others to have faith on you. Doubt is everywhere and if adding more to that, we could not make this world a better place to live and stay.

That is true. You need confidence for alot of things. Especially if you walk in confident to a job interview! Your chances go up on getting hired.

If you don't believe in yourself, how can you expect anyone else to?
