You are not alone. I find that like being troubled about something, we can define it as it being about one specific thing (I am sad about my financial status for example) or we say it is "everything" in our life (all the things that problem touches). The very nature of being sad about something generates more sadness. It is true.

I agree, Our thoughts, and words almost dictate how we will feel. It's easy to get caught up with stress, worries, and negativity. Train to do better, even if we do it slow, using the "baby steps" method, I believe it helps.

Yes, Depression can come from a chemical imbalance in your body. Many people are affected by this. If you have felt this way for more than a few weeks, and are having a hard time working and doing normal things, you may want to tell your doctor.

Cheer up! :) Feeling down is normal. There are moments of sadness that suddenly creeps on us. However, you have the choice to be happy and not dwell on that sadness. If you cannot trace where your sadness is rooted then try your best not to think about it. Go out! Be with people :D Do things! Entertain yourself! Be busy! Sometimes it is just imbalance in our hormones that gives us those kind of feelings. It will pass :) Have the will to get out of that sadness :) You can do it! start with a smile :D

Talk it through to a certain point. Sometimes a stranger can be as good as anyone, because they don't know you. By talking, you may track the root of the issue, and perhaps answer some of your own questions. There are many great people still here on myLot. Much advice can be obtained. When in need, most people really do want to help.
