Try to get as much information from them as you can. They like to talk fast, taking your info and giving only a little of theirs. So while they are talking (a set script) you can be looking the company up online and ask them questions. Also look at the number they are using and see if you can trace it using the whitepages online. I like doing that and then asking why their number is somehow invalid or not linked to them. Oh and if they are imitating a reputable company or brand (windows) let the company know. They often don't know that someone is using them to scam other people and will appreciate what you tell them. Sadly no, and the only way I've found out that works the best is just simply blocking the number or just ignoring any unknown number and calls that you are suspicious of.
