Grandma at 41...my worst nighmare...or is it?

My eldest daughter has her first child at the age of 17 and that makes me a grandmom at the age of 41. Just when I thought I was starting to live my own life and considered myself to be fairly young. Now I am introduced as "grandma" and it feels as if I am YEARS older than my measely 41. Yet now when I hold my grandson in my arms and give him those tender hugs, I realise that being grandma to this little angel is not so bad at all. The joy I feel when he is with me and gives me those smiles that is just reserved for me...that is the best reward and most fulfilling experience a mother and grandmother could ever feel.
