I like Linux, think it is a better OS than Windows, but I think linux will not beat windows. At least not for the next decade.

I do not think so.... It can comete but cannot beat as windows has a larger market capture then the linux.. though it is free... and people are accustomed using windows...

well may be & maybe not coz linux is more secure , reliable, and best suited for works where data storage and security is the priority. but windows is more common and old. so a layman wud still use windows, layman in the senes one who just want to use comp for entertainment and has less tach knowledge, well any one can use windows easily, but there are quite a number of options in linux which a normal guy wont understand
