ONE QUESTION THAT ECHOES IN MY MIND " WHO WAS THERE WHEN THERE WAS NOTHING IN THE UNIVERSE?

When there was no creation before the beginning of any creation. The scientists say that some gases like oxygen, carbon di oxide, nitrogen and hydrogen was there and by the combination of these gases, the matter came in to existence. All the creation started from the ocean. But my question is this that only trees can produce oxygen or carbon di oxide then how did these gases come in to the world without green trees?

I think origin of earth is from other planet by meteorites or other way .
