:p its about the license, not about insurance, driving is upto you, not your parents...! at age 16, they can decide about buying u a bike or not to. not about driving or its license..! :)

I get your point and agree with you to a point because in fact (though some countries and areas might vary somewhat) anyone of age indeed can get a license but not be able to use it?
1) the person needs a vehicle
2) the owner of the vehicle needs insurance to use it on public roads
Costs involved to drive $
License registration
Proof of Car Ownership
Gas Cost
License Plate Cost
Insurance
Then anyone can drive.
That's what I meant.

At 16, everyone wants to ride a bike or anything else. I think the decision have to be taken by the parents, whether to give them it or to plan for later.

i think it is decided on whether the children is mature enough or not. 16 years old is not the only rule, someone older than 16 drive not safety.

there is no problem in giving license to kids who are 16 but they should be of matured mind to drive safely

I dont think at athe age of 16 the maturity level of a person is that high that he/she be given license to drive as it is not safe for him as well as others on road.
At that age riding a cycle is most appropriate and also good for their physique.

It's a great idea. They learn early on how to take responsibility and also learn driving courtesy. As they grow up they'll understand the rights and wrongs of driving.

age 16 is not a bad age to get liscense,,,it is good...but only thing is they must learn how to drive well....and respect laws,,,

no, its not right..! a person should be capable to handle the vehicle, any one can drive but matured mind after 18 years can handle vehicle as well as the mind...!
