the beaches are beautiful and ive heard the surf is good. i dont go in the ocean at all, not my place but i love being at the beach...

Hi shelbistar I too am an Aussie, but a nomadic one. We have visited many parts of this great country of ours and still can be surprised by things we see. There is much to see and so here, and not just in the cities or along the coast but also in the rural areas. :)

thanks ossie16, i have also travelled from geelong to surfers along the coast backpacking and loved everybit of it. i have also done alot of country travelling and also love it. where packing up soon and heading off for a big trip..... cant wait, have a great day

Hi shelbistar. Im from Western Australia in the northern suburbs. I have never left WA and i love it here. I do want to travel but just havent got around to it yet. There are so many nice places in Oz that i would love to visit when i get the time and the money

I would absolutely love to go and visit Australia as I hear it is very beautiful there and the people are nice and there is a lot to see and do there. I used to have a couple penpals from there but they disappeared. Hopefully someday I will get to go there.

I have always wanted to go to Australia but never had the time or oportunity. It's not like I would go there for a short weekend break as I live as far from Austrailia as possible, in Iceland. It takes about 24 hours to get there so I would need a few days each way to recover from the flights and then I would want at least a few weeks to explore the country.
I read a book a very long time a go named "A town called Alice". Ever since then I wanted to visit all the places mentioned in that book. Hopefully one day I will be able to. Until then, I'll just travel in my dreams :).

that book would be about "alice springs"
have you ever heard the story about the dingo eating a baby... that was there.. it is also the centre of australia and nore of a dessert place..
where is iceland?? is it icey??
