Everyone has wonderful ideas when it comes to interior design. Let us paint this wallpaper or maybe we can put some crown molding there. Let us face the fact that everyone has done this at one time or another. While it is great to dream it is another thing all together to do it. If you are planning on redoing the décor in your home make sure to not overlook the four areas in the paragraph below. The worst thing you can do is forgetting one of these areas and realizing that your dreams were not thought out fully from the start. The biggest thing that can be missed in an interior redesign is the history of the home. Before getting too deep in the redesign, ask yourself, can I reuse the moldings or any of the other materials? What is under this carpet is it, a beautiful wood floor that only needs to be refinished? The history of the house can really help tie your project together with the rest of the home. What kind of lighting does the room require? Will it require more lights due to the color change of the room? The right lighting will make a huge difference whether the project is a success or failure. The third area to pay attention to is the ceiling. This gets overlooked often take the time to paint it as it make the room look fresh. Last but certainly not least is the room transition to other rooms. Closets and hallways can cause your project not to fit in with the rest of the home. Let’s face it, people leave doors open, it is just a fact of life, so make sure that everything seems to blend. In conclusion, by making sure that these four areas are looked at and incorporated into your interior design project, your project should always be a success. With careful pre-planning before the first wall is painted you can save yourself a lot of time and money on the remodel. The ball is now in your court so, do the planning and the work as you watch your dreams become reality -
