Why is Living in the Mountains an Ideal Choice?

The reasons for living in the mountains cannot be summed up by only an article, but I will try to provide some reasons why living in the mountains can be the ideal choice. For starters, the scenery is spectacular; furthermore, not many places can compare. It has actually been statistically proven that it is healthier to live in the mountains. The risk of heart and lung disease is less, and the rate for obesity is less. Studies from as early as the 1920s showed that losing weight was normal at higher altitudes. Losing weight automatically decreases your chances of a lot of health risks and complications. Records indicate that there are fewer strokes in regions at higher altitudes as well; in addition, people in places like Colorado have an average life span of around 81 years old. From what I can tell the air is different there. It is like being able to breathe clearly for the first time. Not to mention how quiet and peaceful it is. There are not many people that you will have to deal with if you choose to live in the mountains. Consequently, the nearest gas station probably is not going to be a hop and a skip away. Though you may be a ways away from civilization, nothing beats solitude at its best. If choosing to live in the mountains is a question in your mind, then you probably have never been. I highly recommend at least taking a vacation to the mountains for those who have never bore witness to the elegance of the topside of the clouds. Being at a viewpoint where you can see the world from a different perspective is rejuvenating. I could not begin to explain to you the feeling you get with words alone. Visiting and living somewhere are two very different things. I can only tell you why people choose to live there. I can also tell you what it is like to visit for a short time, but I cannot tell you what it is like to live there. The reasons for moving to the mountains are plain to see, but their reasons for staying in the mountains can only be found by living the lifestyle first hand -
