Sony Xperia ZR is one of the flagship phones from Sony which was released to target the mid-level price range segment . It was released as a series sub for the on going Sony Xperia Z1 . It has almost all the features of Z1 except for the camera -13MP for ZR and 20 MP for Z1. ZR has been made to look as tough and rough as the Z1. It sizes to 4. inch with a full HD display and resolution 1280X720p . The pixel density is around 350 ppi. The screen looks absolutely sleek and vibrant. The colors are really bright and the details really come out well. Coming to the super smooth capacitive touch screen , it showed very quick response and ensured no lag whatsoever. The form was very sturdy and could easily fit into our hands . The thickness of 7mm ensured that it doesn't slip away easily and the access to the whole screen was achieved due to the 4.7 inch screen. ZR comes loaded with a 2GB RAM , 8GB internal memory and 2.3 GHz Quadcore processor. It performed very well in the 4 months usage and was just seamless overall. Gaming performance was to the mark . It showed no lag or delay in the running of games . The battery life was also quite long owing to 2300maH battery . Finally, it runs currently on the latest Android 4.4.4 Kitkat in which Sony has addressed minor bug fixes and the battery issue . Overall, it is a great phone under the 25K range and the best part is Sony provides good compatibility for the forthcoming updates. Rating : 4/5
