I'm not saying that this kind of thing has not happened but that the general response to breaking the one baby law in China might well be... "In most provinces, having a an extra child gets you a fine, the amount of which varies across provinces" - http://www.mentalfloss.com/article/29647/how-does-china-enforce-its-one-baby-policy This may be incorrect or inaccurate information. "The Chinese government will kill your baby if it is born a female." - It would be interesting to hear from the Chinese writers on this site about their personal reflection or experience around this law.
