This book was a great addition to the fantasy series that is quickly becoming more and more popular (among a certain demographic lol). In a land ripped apart by an evil "magician" (called the darkling, he is a special kind of grisha), a young (teen of course) orphaned girl must figure out how to use her newly found grisha powers to stop him. After running away (in the first book) she must return and face him to end the endless wars and expanding dark forest that ravages her country (the second and third books).
