Why Must Christian Disciples LIE Like This?

I understand that Christian disciples are 'on a mission' (almost 'by contract') to go & lead others to become Christian disciples themselves. But 'telling them that God has given them a Promised Land' probably leads to more disappointment if followers realize that 'whatever you think your Promised Land is' is not given with 'no strings attached.' The only 'Promised Land' given in the Holy Bible is that which was 'given' to the Hebrews/Jews (which they STILL had to go to war for and then maintain both caretaking within and defense from without). In the New Testament, Jesus gave us NO SUCH PROMISE when He Commissioned us Greatly (in Matthew 28:16-20) except that He would be "with 'us His disciples' to the end of the age." This is why Kenneth Copeland Ministries (and other ministries associated with the LIE of the Prosperity Gospel) annoy me. Don't get me wrong; I don't want to end my 'partnership' with KCM (as meager as my contributions are), but I don't want my Partners to praise the ashes or the forged steel ("filthy lucre" and the stuff it purchases) above the forge's fire (the True Gospel)! God's Word is not "Profit & Prosper." It IS "Obey." (His commsnd TO YOU might be 'Prosper,' but that's not the command for you to tell to ANYBODY ELSE unless they are your children.)

That is why I don't call myself a "christian". And I do believe, I just choose to believe in my own way, without spreading it to other people. God knows me and my heart, and that is enough for me.

Brittany Bonds...As a christian we are commanded by God to stand and be a witness to the truth of God's word, and we are to spread the good news of the Gospel to the world. God knows your heart and if you Love him and follow him you would be spreading the good word to everyone...God does not want us to do it our own way..but to do it his way...It is his will be done...

Brittany Bonds you say you do not call yourself a christian.....why...a christian is one who belongs to Christ....and Christianity is not a religion but a relationship with Jesus Christ.....

In Mathew 28:19 Jesus said: "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." Christians are suppose to make disciples it was the order Jesus gave to his followers before he ascended into heaven where he prepares a place for us: In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. John 14:2. Any kind of promise land given to Christians is given there by the word of Jesus and shown in the book of revelation: Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Revelation 21:1 Britney bonds; believing in your own way may be dangerous because you can become self deceived, I'm not saying that your wrong, it's hard to say with such a vague statement as that. Don't forget though, there will be many on that day that say "Lord, did we not cast out demons and do good works in your name?" And to those Jesus will say, "away from me, for I Never knew you" I would hate for you to be one in that crowd.

Your faith is strong. My nature looks for a way to break it, and sees none. But I feel compelled to remind you that you are saved by grace alone. (I know the saying goes on to say 'by grace alone through faith,' but the faith saves no one ... it's just your self-assuredness that the grace gifted belongs to you, but I think it's important to remember that the grace can be TAKEN no matter what you believe about it.)

I believe that one day Jesus will come and take his children to heaven. The Bible says that. IT also says that after a l,000 years He will bring the New Jerusalem back to earth and recreate the earth. What part of that is a lie?

All of it. Are you quoting the part that is an exile's hungry hallucination?

Sometimes they lie because it is the difference between being paid or not being paid.
