Know anyone that is a habitual liar? is there any hope for them?

know someone that is always lying they just can't control themselves.

liars are not born liars .. they become so ... due mal-formations in thier habbit ... from an early age itself

I deffinatly know a couple of those. My ex-husband is a good example. He lies so much he actually believes the words coming out of his own mouth. No I don't think he will ever change. I guess it's a character flaw or more likely it's something that goes way deeper.

I don't think there is any way to convince them of their wrong doings. They somehow believe that their lies are the truth. They lie so much that they believe their own lies and that is sad

It is so difficult to get them to change. You can give them all the advice in the world and sometimes they might even give you the impression that they have changed but its all just part of the lying.

I have one friend who is somewhat a habitual liar..he was also abused as a child and I think he lies because he learned not to trust...I don't hold it against him..I just know he is not always truthful and I accept that. I also hope someday he will be able to trust me enough to lie less..

yep. my ex-boyfriend for 8 years. he lies whenever i caught him cheating! worst person ever. but i think i lied to myself too because i kept on keeping him in my life though i know for sure he does not deserve me.
