Does anyone know ASL (American Sign Language)?

I learned sign language when I was 12 years old. There were two people in my school who were deaf, and I wanted to be able to talk to them. That was 10 years ago, and I still know sign language very well. Anyone else know sign language?

Like I told someone in an earlier post, there are books and videos at the library you might want to check out that will teach you more. Also, for a name sign, your name or anyone's, you make that up yourself. I think that's pretty cool. Thanks for responding.

I learned sign language year's ago, as i have a nephew who is deaf. i am hearing impaired myself, i wear hearing aide's in both ear's. which i will need them for the rest of my life, i have been wearing hearing aide's since i was younger. was told by doctor's that my hearing will just get worse as the year's go by and i am only in my mid forty's now.

I learned from two deaf people. Just keep practicing and there are videos and books out there. I once had an ASL dictionary. Check in a book store, like Walden's or something similar. They may have some so it will be easier to learn. Thanks for responding.

No i really don't. But i have always wanted to learn. There are hundreds of places online that will teach you the whole alphabet. But i know that signing isnt just about Knowing the alphabet from a-z. There are signs for objects and emotions right?

Yes, there are actual words that have their own sign. It would be difficult to have to spell everything out. Thanks for responding.
