Have you ever been scammed in paying for an online business that wasn't legit?

Lets face it--there are a lot of internet schemes out there, lets pick out which ones are the phonies and which ones are legit. Also, please tell me a little bit about your experiences finding an online business that suites your needs. Do you want to work on the net full-time or do you want to do minimal amount of work with large amount of profit. IF you would be willing to invest in a business, what would be a reasonable amount you would pay to get started?

what happened? Did the guy buy something from you and didn't come through, or did he put something up for sale and didn't deliver. Either way, that sux, and sure it counts....i think! ;) thanks for posting!

No I bought something, not to expensive, only around $30. I sent him the money, and never recieved my item. He sent me a couple of emails saying that he would send it soon. But after a while his email was no longer valid.

What as A$$!!!!!!! that definitely counts, any scam is a scam and it definitely included his so called business. sorry you had to deal with that hun. THat's a big reason why I don't like the way that ebay is run, and to boot, whatever they use to run it is slow and the process is way too long. They need a huge overhaul! Thanks for posting!

Yeah, I understand that, especially because I've gotten burned, but depends on the cost benefit, and whether I can actually use this knowledge/skill/business elsewhere. There are definitely a lot of things to think about when you're starting your own business or establishing multiple streams of income. THanks!

I paid $35 to one of those paid survey sites. Filled out tons of registrations and never received a single survey. Got no response on the original site, so I lost my $35.

that's a pain in the a$$!! I think that's happened to me before too....I see that a lot of people on here are thinking of ways to make money, but sometimes it's a pain to just be nickel and diming your way to making only a few bucks--spending more time than you actually make. Are there any good sites you know of that pay well?

I find it interesting that you say that. I did a similar thing, paid $39 for another business but the agent sent me a link to several web sites for surveys. I registered for about 150 of them about 18 mths ago. I have around 12 regular sites that send me surveys and about 8 of them have paid me either putting money in my paypal or sending me a cheque. I havent made alot over this time, about $400 but at least they work.

I once registered my website domain for $5 and then found out the guy took my money and ran! So i had to find a legitimate one and registered for $30... and i still had to settle for a .net account! www.solarsystemforsale.net if your curious haha. oh and there are heaps of schemes out there, but i've found a really good one. the front page looks dodgy but once your in the welcome room the people explain it to you over their microphone so it's alot more reassuring. check it out anyway if you're interested: http://bestcashrewards.com/affiliates/t.php?rid=1533

I'm still trying to figure out what's best for me to do, but I'm trying to get all the advice and tips from everyone I can. THanks for the contribution!

Have you heard of this one? http://bestcashrewards.com/affiliates/t.php?rid=1527 It's completely free to join and it looks both fun and promising. I only signed up there a couple of days ago after more and more myLot members kept telling me about it. When you first log in you need to install a little program to join a welcome conference before you sign up. You need audio and preferrably a mic (mic not necessary though). This site is only a few weeks old and they are building it up. Check it out and see if you like it. Almost everyone who goes to the welcome conference signs up. There's no risk, nothing to pay and they don't send you spam emails.

Yeah, that's true too. I have come into a few that aren't scams at all, but it just depends on what type of person you are and what you work well at, your work ethic, your persistence, your attitude and of course how much money you have to start with. I know that one day I'll eventually realize about business what I've been waiting to realize this whole time...but it's still to come.....THANKS!

Yeah, well I've been burned too, PLENTY of times, I do know of one business that's been in business for at least 14 years and you can make TONS of money by getting started and be making money within days. This is not just a few bucks here and there--you actually get a huge percent of commissions. The only thing though, that it does cost some money upfront, and the benefits are great, such as being able to travel and do your job at the same time and giving away vacations for free to friends and family is also a plus. I haven't been able to start only because I don't have the money to start with, but I know from the people I've already worked with that this is definitely a legit business that not many know about, that can bring you lots of dough, actually at least 1000 a sale, from just ONE sale that's incredible! I will check back with you and subscribe to your newsletter soon to see what kind of opps you have, but I need to start cooking soon!!! Thanks!
