Books for the summer

This summer, I've decided to loan out plenty of books from the uni library. I've decided to start with the classics, because I've been skimping out on reading and the uni library is the greatest cache of English literature I've known in a while. I'm currently going through The Call of the Wild by Jack London (my edition is paired with White Fang), which is pretty gripping for me. Next on my list probably going to be Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov (I love his prose), which I dropped earlier this year because I was busy. I also want to read Go Set a Watchman, the sequel to To Kill a Mockingbird. Anyone read it yet? I heard that there's expansion on the characters, especially Atticus. How's everyone here? Are you going to read books this summer?

I need to get back to books I've missed. I haven't actually read To Kill a Mockingbird -- just saw the movie. But I must read it, along with the sequel.

That's weird... in almost all high schools today in the United States, To Kill a Mockingbird is required reading, along with a few other literary classics. Well, I recommend it. I really like the narration. I haven't watched the movie, so maybe I'll do that, heh.

@foxontherails It is on the current high school reading lists, but I graduated from high school the year it was published. When I was in high school, they did not assign contemporary novels for students to read, only short stories and poems from our textbooks, and a couple of Shakespeare plays.

Go Set a Watchman: I heard about this sequel but have no intention of reading it.
