What do you do when your not here on myLot?

What do you do for work? What do you do for fun? What would you do for a job if you could do anything? What is one thing on your bucket list? Lets get to know each other a little bit more here. I am a mom to two great kids and that is my job. If I could do anything I would be a farmer. Yes a farmer, dirt and poop, animals and early wake ups. That is my dream job. If I couldn't have that I would be a travel writer. Hmm, Bucket list. I would like to take a Mediterranean cruise and see all the amazing history at the stops they have. Okay now your turn!

I love to travel as much as I can. I'm working really hard today to get out of debt so that I can travel with out taking money from my bills. Its a tough balance really. Adventure is such a wonderful thing.

@happythoughts You and I both, sister! At some point you just need to say "you know what, they are not going to turn off my cable if I miss one payment, and if they do then I have extra money to go on another adventure"! Life is too short to just work hard and only be able to pay bills and not have any fun.

I think it is very brave when people travel alone. I think that sometimes that offers you more freedom and opportunity, because you do not have to agree with one or more other people on what you want to do and when you want to do it. On the other hand, if you get lost or run into trouble or something like that, then you do not have your friends to help you out.

Mostly I read and write. I try to save reading for my spare time, but the truth is once I start a book it's hard to put it down. So I read more than I should. I have four blogs of my own I try to keep up with. One is part of the international City Daily Photo Blog network. That requires one post a day to stay in. I also have a book review blog, a writing blog, and a gardening blog. I make a weekly contribution to Review This, a site put together by some former Squidoo lensmasters. I am moderately active on Persona Paper and occasionally active on tsu, HubPages, Seekyt, Wizzley, Zazzle, Wikinuts and maybe some places I've forgotten about where I still have work. I have a Bubblews account but am rarely active there since I decided the site's recent comeback, which looked promising for about a week, didn't keep its promise. I can have better conversations and earn more here. When I'm not reading or writing, I'm at the gym trying to maintain what's left of my health and strength, watering my garden and occasionally puling a weed, trying to donate my book inventory to get it out of the house, and doing those other necessary chores like bookkeeping, laundry, cooking, cleaning, etc. I also try to take an occasional photo walks to supply myself with blog material.

You make me tired just reading the list of things that you do in a day or week! I know what you mean about the books, though. I am in the middle of about four books at the moment. Usually, I just read one from start to finish, especially if it is good. However, I started a book and then was given several more as presents. I really wanted to finish the book that I had started, but the others looked so interesting that I just couldn't wait, and I couldn't decide which to try first, so I just read a little of each whenever possible.

@bagarad When I am exercising I like to listen to music, but I can see how the Kindle on a stationary bike would be a good option as well.

@purplealabaster I often have a paper book started but have another started on the Kindle that is easy to read when I'm on the stationary bike at the gym. It's what makes exercise bearable instead of boring.

Since you like farming so much, I could easily arrange for you to go to my sister's farm in Wisconsin. She has a lot of dairy cattle and really needs help!

I teach English in Japan and I work Monday-Friday. So when I come home, I'll usually go online or I'll just sleep. I like to travel around Japan a lot. It's a lot of money so I can't do it TOO often, but I go on trips every once in a while.

When it comes to traveling it seems like we have to work really hard to get the money to travel just a little. Its not really fair . Its nice to meet you Kataomoi.

I don't work outside the home, so I tend to the family. For fun, I crochet or mess around on the computer, and reading, as in ebooks and stuff.

Family is everything to me. I spend a lot of time taking pride in my job as mom. I wish I had a better organization system for it all though. I would love to get back into crocheting again but I cant seem to find the time to sit and make things. Its probably because I spend way too much time online.

I've just joined. I found out about this site on another revenue sharing site, and here I am. Well, I guess when I'm not on myLot, and when I'm not at the computer, I'd be either playing an outdoor sport or making music with friends.

I spend way too much time at my computer. I love the outdoors as well. I love to sit in the mountains where there isn't all the noise of the city and relax. Nice to meet you Ansel.

I am a mom to three younger boys. One is 5 and the younger twins are 3. Taking care of them is a full time job. I earn online where I can. I would love to be a well paid writer! I would love to travel the world with my family.

Being a mom is the toughest easy job ever. I think being a stay at home momma was the best decision I have ever made. I love that when I am having a tough day I can pop some popcorn and get a movie going. We all get a break. I think that is frowned on in the working class. We have eaten well over our fair share of top ramen special in attempt to live on one paycheck but it was all worth it. I think that is why I get so excited about making pennies here and there.

@happythoughts Quite honestly with the prices of daycare these days it is cheaper for one parent to stay at home. It would cost me over $200 for the twins alone per week for daycare here. Not to mention if Lil Keith had to go into after care from school that would be an extra $80 a week as well. I love your idea about the farming. I live on ten acres and I have always wanted a hobby farm with lots of animals and lots of fruit trees/brambles/bushes and a huge garden. It has not worked out that way though.

Thats a huge job! What age do you teach? I home school my kids and its tough just having the two of them. We really enjoy all the doors it had opened for us but every day is a lot of work. I have three years to get my son ready for college. That is a lot of pressure.

I am a homemaker. All my kids are grown, and the baby who is 21 is the only one left at home. He is moving out next month if all goes as planned. If I could have the job I wanted, I would want to own a ranch. What I do for fun? Hmmm I mess around in different programs online, I do crafts, jigsaw puzzles, and I absolutely love reading. My bucket list? Wow. I want to visit, Hawaii, Australia, and Canada, and I have a desire to swim with the dolphins. There is no skydiving or bunging jump on my list.

I so get you. I asked my hubby to buy me a goat today. He said no way. I think he is fairly careful with his words now though. One day he sent me a text that said "Wheres my peeps?". I have no impulse control so I went an purchased him ten tiny chickens and sent him a picture. He thought I took a picture of some a the local store. He was shocked when he came home to chickens running though our kitchen. Imagine if he said "Wheres the beef?" instead. I would love to run a farm somewhere green and grassy.

@TexanTornado I hope I would think that one through a little bit but I'm a bit unpredictable. The chickens were a nice switch up though. We have more eggs than we can handle. We are getting eight a day. Not all my ideas are bad ones.

Nice to see you again! :) I am a stock clerk by night, and a reader / pseudo-writer by nights off. For fun? Just going to a restaurant with friends or family is fun to me. I also don't mind the occasional bowling trip, or even playing some pool. Otherwise I'd rather stay at home and just relax. My dream job is to write, be able to travel the world, and just enjoy life.

I majored in bowling in college. I had to take three P.E. credits so I took two bowling and one golf credit. It was that or actual exercise and I really didn't want to do that every day. Im still trying to learn to relax. There is so much life to live and I feel like I need to cram life into every second.

I am a full time mom.. If you call it work. I read, write, craft, paint, gardening etc,I have no bucket lists I live my life to the full and I am loving it. I am content as I am.. I may have a couple of wishes but then who cares if they don't happen. This present moment is all I care about.

Beautifully said. Live in the moment. It seems like yesterday I had a tiny preemie and now my 13 year old son is taller than me and sounds like there is a strange man in the house. It goes so fast and I think we all tend to get caught up in dirty dishes and laundry. This is a great reminder that these are the moments that will make up the memories. Thank you.

I just joined the site, and am finding my way around. When I am not on this site, I am tying up loose ends on another blogging site that was not paying--not a good situation. I work part time, usually 5 hours per day 5 days per week. I work for a local internet and phone provider in yes, a call centre. Any horror story anyone has heard of a call centre does not apply to this workplace, they treat the employees like gold and the atmosphere is uplifting, positive and professional. My 5 hour shifts just fly by as it is that pleasant.

I worked in a call center before I had children. I really enjoyed it as well. I think that the people you work with and the way employees are handles can make all the difference. Twenty five hours a week leaves you will a lot of time to do other things too. Sounds like you hit the jackpot.

I used to write articles for income. It was a great little side job I really enjoyed. They changed up their rules and made it so difficult to get anything done so I gave up. I really wish I could find a site like that again but I also understand that the internet world is quickly changing and it may never come around again. I miss it though. I guess I don't miss it as much as I miss the paychecks.

Swagbucks is my little miracle site. I get all my points turned into amazon gift certificates and it builds up pretty fast. I got a food dehydrator last year I love and this year my hubby got some film equipment for his camera to make some YouTube videos. Its all basically free!
