Do Posts On MyLot Get picked Up By The Search Engines?

I have been on a number of writing websites over the years, one of my favourites was the now defunct Squidoo, which eventually went under after Google made major changes to the way it listed websites. The big thing with Squidoo and other content websites I've written for is to try and attract traffic from search engines by using keywords in posts. I am wondering if there is any point in doing this on MyLot. It does seem that this is more of a general chat/social network website, so I'm not sure if writing for the search engines as well as for people is worthwhile. I am new here, so I'm just trying to find my feet. Do people on here write informative articles as well as general chitchat? Do you write with search engines in mind/?Do you find that you get traffic to old posts or only when they are new?
