Would you grow a ear in your arm?

I just read in the news paper that a man has grown a ear in his arm in the hope of converting it into to a remote listening device for other people. He says that would help others listen in to a concert he may attend or follow a conversation he could be having. He plans to have a miniature microphone which is connected to the internet inserted in this ear grown in his arm. He seems to find artistic value to his ear grown in his arm and says people don't understand his artistic inclination. Do you see some artistic value to growing body parts on body parts? Would you do this to have a fancy remote listening device? What is your opinion on the subject?
