I missed my dialysis session on Monday because I overslept. Screw it! How often does one get a really good night's sleep. I just let it finish on it's own time. According to the "Family Guy" cartoon one missed dialysis session means almost dying, but in reality it takes time for fluid and toxins to build up to lethal levels, so I can afford to miss one day. Besides my access arm could use the break. The damn thing has to last me twenty years before it needs to be surgically replaced and I figured by then I'll be pushing up daisies.

At least you got a good night's sleep. Sometimes I think that's the most important thing when it comes to health. When you don't sleep well, your whole day is just....crappy. Then you try to take a nap, and you get all messed up because of the nap....then you can't sleep again because you slept too much from the nap....and then you hear the birds chirping outside and you realize you're actually going to sleep at 8 a.m., and it's all because you didn't get enough sleep the first time around.

@Druscilla034, you obviously had plenty of time to do a realistic, sleep study

Sleep is key to being healthy, too, so perhaps it's not such a terrible thing. As long as you get another treatment before things get dangerous. I wish you better health

Despite the benefits, a good night's sleep has never been a good excuse for missing or being late to any appointments.
