Did your mother ever tease you?

I was the 8th in the family a 5th girl child. I was told that my grandparents never came to see me the day I was born as they were expecting a boy. I however became the favourite of all and that is when one gets teased all the more. I saw a woman with a babe in arms begging for alms. My mother said to me that she had come to take me back as I was big enough now and that was my real mother. Needless to say I hid inside the house a until that woman left. Were you teased too.
