Former President Jimmy Carter has announced that his cancer has spread to parts of his brain. He will be having his first radiation treatment today at Emory in Atlanta. It is never easy hearing that you have cancer, but I think realizing it has hit your brain puts a whole new spin on it. President Carter said to reporters, "I've had a wonderful life," Carter said. "I've had thousands of friends." I think he has a great attitude and according to photos on TV he looks good considering his age. While I don't think he will be remembered as being a great president, he will be remembered for all of the good works he has done. Habitat for Humanity was a name that many of us didn't know a thing about until he was associated with it. I wish him good luck in this new battle and prayers to his family and friends.

I didn't realise it was brain cancer. That's really frightening. I hope the radiation helps.

It is in his liver and certain cancers seem to spread to the brain. I had a friend many years ago who had liver cancer and it went to her brain also.
