Where are the Good Positive Role Models for Kids Today?

I think there is a lot of crime and bad deeds by young people today due to an absence of good positive role models. How can rappers who belittle women and use vulgar language be a good role model? What about Miley Cyrus? I find what she is doing with her acting and twerking absolutely disgusting. When someone peddling drugs becomes a role model for kids, something is wrong in our society!

People who are raised on a good foundation can't be swayed by a silly girl and her bad dancing. I think the problem is that so many parents are working just to survive that families are not teaching each other the lessons that need teaching. Here in the US, parents are having to work a couple of jobs just to feed their children so the children are being "taught" by tv, music, and friends who aren't taught correctly.

@TLChimes You are absolutely correct. There are too many couples away working and also one parent families who aren't teaching moral values to their childrfen

That is what our society has come to today. We do not value the good any more .. I don't think there is a dearth of positive role models, Its just that the media loves these Mileys and their kinds.

@sofs You are correct! There are positive role models to be sure, but the media seems so obsessed with the bad ones.

There parents and friends of their parents. Alright I have a son who is seventeen years old. These are the people he looks to.
