well a few days I ago I wrote and solicited advice to you regarding what am I going to choose. I was torn between two loves... (e-bike or geared bike). Then so many suggestions came up and so weigh down. I checked first on the e-bike thinking for the price of it, I should use it when I travel to other province or countries nearby Bangkok. Price is not a problem because I really intend to be my traveling companion. Unfortunately the bike was too heavy, folding is too difficult and it can't be rolled (like a cart) when I need to bring it in the train or bus. so in other words, the purpose (for the amount) will be defeated. So to cut the story short, I finally was able to buy this geared by for a much cheaper price, it's brand new.. and after I bought it from the mall, no taxis would want me to take me as a passenger. (Odd maybe the drivers were thinking that I will ride on in while inside the cab). Anyway, I ride a bike from the mall to my apartment (8 km) and was able to save around 100 bahts for the taxi fare. Wheee Friends meet my new companion and travel mate.. Flash

Wow now that bike is sharp! I would love one like this and I like the colors and size of it. You should be able to whizz around everywhere in a flash now. Good choice.

Now I am..hahaha. From 30-minute walk from apartment to work it was cut down to 10mins riding. Thanks..

Good for you for being smart. I wish the US worked like that. There is a few places that do, but definitely not in California. Everything is 50 miles away and people so love to drive in this state. I would love to bike everywhere.

I agree, riding a bike is really liberating and fun. If I intend to be here for a longer time, I will desire to have a quite high end one. Lucky that I found an apartment near to my work place. anyway, long hi-ways are fun to drive too.

That's a good decision. But me, I would prefer to walk hi hi. When I was younger, I also used bike when going to school. I also know how to drive a motor bike, but then I lost interest on it. I am saving for a car.
