my stereo just quit working - no sound

My son hit a button in on my kenwood stereo and the sound went off, and I can't get the sound to come back on. The power to the stereo is on, all the displays work, I have checked all the fuses including the stereo fuse, and the sound does not come on. My kenwood stereo is Model # kdc2025. Can you help!!!
