Do you ever join running event like marathon ?

I need some idea on run event. How can i get many people to participate in my run event? Do i need to make the prizes winner big for first, second and third place? Does the prizes are what people target and want to join? If you ever organize or joining some event kindly share me your idea and thoughts.

Uhm I think marathons are mostly for people's health but it wouldn't hurt of course if you had a prize for the fastest ones to finish.

beside the fastest reward prize, what other things that make them want to join the marathon event? does the finisher medal make people excited to join ?

It is a big under-taking to organize. It depends on how many runners, the route and timings, assistance from police, ambulance services, etc., safety factors, traffic control. sponsorship is a good way to raise prize money, if the event supports charities. I can barely run for a bus myself, so good luck with this.

Thank you friend, yes during event like marathons many aspect need to take care too. I just wonder what make the event got many people join it?

I don't run anymore because I am disabled. When I was able I use to run for charity events.

Long ago I do follow some charity run too, participate only get t-shirt from the registration then run like 7km. How was charity run there, do people get medal after finish run ?

I haven't yet but my officemates always do. I think the prizes should be enticing like cash prizes . And it should be fun like the fun runs they have here - with zombies amongst other things .

I do see some people they are not target the prizes. They run slow too maybe just run for fun haha.. but i dont know what actually make them enjoy and fun to joining running event. I like your idea maybe that zombie theme run is nice so people will run with the zombies. xD
