My cousin has been fermenting and it peaked my interest until finally I started doing it myself. I can make my own buttermilk, yogurt, cream cheese and whey. I've fermented pickled peppers and cucumbers and have even made my own sauerkraut. I've made herbal tea tasting soda and even wine!
The picture is a batch of wine that I made out of one of my watermelons from my garden!! I started a batch (8 cups) of currant juice to be made into wine. This fermenting is very fun and easy. After doing some research it is also healthy as this is how our ancestors preserved food as they had no refrigeration.
Have you ever fermented before? If so, what?

It's very easy!! You just need some kind of a starter, let whatever sit out on your counter and that's about it!!
I never really liked buttermilk until I made it myself, now I like it better than milk!!

Oh that is so cool! I have thought about it before because it sounds like a really interesting process, but it seems difficult to learn, is it?

Actually it is very easy!! I thought it sounded complicated too or thought it would be, but actually the food does all of the work!
