My phone cannot be turn on

I forgot to charge my phone last nite. This morning when i wake up i see my phone run out of battery, it wont turn on. 
When i plug to charge, the light indicator also not show up. My phone is Sony z1 compact. It is because it really empty? Anyone experience like this.

Well I do not have a fancy phone, but I know it needs to charge for a long time if it has run out completely. Have you been charging all day and still not on? I am sorry I dont know wot is wrong with it.

@etavasi It surely would not take hours..maybe try to push the on and off button to see if the light come on now friend.

it start working now, i still not yet turn it on but it show like 20 percent of battery again at the moment

Usually the light should come on. I hope nothing is wrong with it. Maybe try to plug it in and leave it there for 10-15 minutes. Hopefully it does something then.
