Over $10,000 of apps and in-app purchases... 100% FREE?!

Does it sound too good to be true? What if I told you that these apps are being offered by Amazon.com as part of their new Amazon Underground program? Yep, it's true, and there really aren't any strings attached. Developers can choose to participate in the program, and Amazon pays them for every download and every minute that their apps are used. It seems like there are about 400 apps available through Amazon Underground right now. Most of them are games, which suits me just fine because there are a lot of titles that will interest my kindergartner. I found an app that has a bunch of timers and alarms and some drawing apps that will probably keep both of us occupied for hours. I'm hoping that it catches on and more developers choose to make their apps available through the program. It would be great to have a lot more apps for my daughter to use offline, instead of having to rely on the FreeTime Unlimited subscription all the time.
