Children Obey Your Parents ?!?

I'm in love... I never thought that love was for me, maybe in movies and in booksbut not me, but it just happened and my life has never been the same since... 3 years on I'm soo happy that I fell in love with such an amazing guy...
But in a system where love is arranged by one's parents, I stand out as odd... My parents who pampered me and loved me, now label me a 'rebel'...
And their final technique to get me back into the fold is to guilt me by using the Bible verse which says 'Children Obey Your Parents'.
So am I really a rebel or not? You tell me...

I don't think parents should decide for children's marriage. They may express their opinions if consulted. However, marriage is not only something of the young couple. Instead, it might affect the future of the two big families. The younsters will more likely have an easier life if they get the blessing of the parents.

Thats the thing that bugs me the most... I would love to have their blessings but they dont even want to meet the person I'm in love with...

i am shocked that arranged marriages still exist in these modern times 
I think there is a limit to what children can do for their parents, since what if the parents want the child to do something bad? When a person knows what is right from wrong, then one should always choose to do what is right.

falling in love is not rebellious but parents are always worried about their child's choice. Make them meet your love time to time and I hope everything will set in a right place. Best of luck and God bless!

@susananita Don't pay attention to what your parent's think. They will always have an opinion about everything. They don't want their baby to grow up. However, you are old enough now to make your own decisions.

You should be with the person your heart tells you to and not rely on your parents to make that decision for you.
