My postal consignment was withheld by Postal Authority

Hi Mylot friends, This incident was happened long back, on those days I am having lot of pen friends and receiving letter/consignments/parcels from foreign friends. Some time I am getting cameras( ordinary), film rolls, gifts, coins, stamps and currency from my friends and I am also sending them these items in return to them. On those days no courier service was there all mails are coming via Postal authority only, one time one of my cover containing some coins was withheld and they have sent a letter that my letter was withheld due to that the cover containing the coins it is offence to send coins/currency via postal. I have given reply to the postal department saying that "the coins as a memento for friendship they does not have commercial value you can withheld those coins with you and my letter may be released" i have replied. Then the postal department was released my letter with out coins to me.
