Working with NGO? With no work experience...

I just finished my degree in health... I am a fresh graduate and I am planning to work in Non Governmental Agency that serve the public health. The problem here is that everytime i checked the NGO website, they always required the applicants to have work experience at least 2 years. What will I do then? Do i need to work as volunteer in any NGO? Most of them also unpaid... So im totally broke here... No income yet! Im really wanna hear your ideas guys... especially you guys that had experience working in NGO...
