I hear the dentist calling me.....

I got out of my dental appointment last week - I was kind and let my husband go first and after almost 2 hours in the chair I said I'd take a rain check. Well, today's the rain check day. I let him go first since he hadn't had a cleaning in over two years plus he had some bonding that needed to be fixed. Of course we didn't think the dentist would so all of that in one sitting. I was totally bored in the waiting room and he has the most uncomfortable chairs in the world. I should be in and out in 40 minutes since I go every 4 months - this is gum work he does on me and he's helping to save my teeth - I hope anyway, so far so good. I hope your morning is starting out pain free!

I'm terrified of doctors and dentists (based on past experiences) and avoid going to both unless it's essential.

That's not a good way to be a healthy person. You have to bite the bullet and take care of your teeth and your body.

@AbbyGreenhill It's more than fear, it's a lack of trust. I've seen what harm both have done to members of my family.

@Gina145Well, then all I can say is they had lousy dentist/doctors. I have too, but I kept looking and found many good ones.
