Diamondback Watersnake

This is a photograph I took of a Diamondback Watersnake just outside of Austin Texas. My family takes a trip every summer to Fredericksburg. While there I always find and catch dozens of snakes. This is one of the most common types. When was the last time you found a snake?

I myself wish NEVER to find one, however, I have run across quite a few in my life time.

I absolutely love snakes. I have caught probably a couple hundred over my lifetime. Probably 30 or so different species. I've had a couple dozen as pets at one time or another.

@loki1982 No way!! My hubby has a friend like that, who every year goes rattlesnake hunting. I simply don't see the appeal in messing with things like that. They creep me out.
